Van Morrison Concert Tickets - It's a bit of a Lottery

Following the decision to honour East Belfast Man and International singer Van Morrison, with the Freedom of Belfast, the council announced that a concert would be held.

The venue, which was originally to be the Ulster Hall was changed by the council to the Waterfront Hall, following a perceived surge in demand.

The council has now announced that a total of 2,000 tickets for the free concert will be made available to the general public and allocated by computer on a lottery basis.

Application for tickets can made online on either the City Council's website or the Waterfront Hall's website. Alternatively, application's can be made in person at the Waterfront. The application process runs from 10am on Tuesday 22nd October up until Wednesday the 30th October.

The computerised draw, which will allocate two tickets to each winner, is aimed at ensuring equal distribution of tickets across the city

'Van the Man' will receive his honour on the 15TH November and later will perform at the Waterfront Hall.
